Grainne and Amanda are looking for ladies to take a sponsor card “ to run, walk or crawl the Women’s VHI Mini Marathon to raise money for the Fettercairn Youth Horse Project.

We are fundraising to build a Sensory Horse Trail for both children and adults with Special Needs. We cannot express how much they will all benefit from this but we really need the support. If you can get involved, we can guarantee you a place in our hearts and a glass of Prosecco at the finish line. So, if you are interested, you can go to the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon page and register but make sure you use the following e-mail address amanda011974@gmail.com.

We will have your t-shirts and sponsor cards for you. It doesn’t matter how much you raise, anything at all to go towards this great cause. It’s a brill. day and a great atmosphere.

If you want to make a donation and can’t get to one of our ladies here’s the go fund page reference it sensory trail”.

Approximately 30% of the children attending the Fettercairn Youth Horse Project are children with special needs. The  Sensory Trail will be an amazing addition to the Horse Project and will facilitate a number of groups (Social Circle, Sensory Fun with Friends, Hope, Cheeverstown, St. John of Gods, Our Lady of Good Council, Dyspraxia Ireland), local schools, as well as local and countywide children attending our project. A Sensory Trail will add to the experience especially for those with special needs, with increased stimulation, balance, motivation, co-ordination, whilst also improving independence, and encouraging communication.

We would be very grateful if you or your organisation supports Amanda and Grainne to make their dream, and ours, a reality.
