Sabrina (16) from Clondalkin has been riding at FYHP for the last 3 years. From the start she has been a fantastic help, volunteering her time at the weekends and school holidays. Sabrina leads, grooms and tacks up the horses. She is a great role model for the younger kids and is very good with nervous children who are just starting lessons. She has completed a one week work experience in the Horse Project through her school Coláiste Chilliain and is hoping to complete AIRE exams before the end of the year.

The Val Kemp Commemoration Cup was  donated to the Horse Project in 2013 following the death of Val in February of that year. Val had become very involved with Fettercairn as the stables became operational in 2001. She brought great equine knowledge, skills and depth of experience and  was a tremendous resource to the Project. It was envisaged by the benefactor that the cup would be awarded to “the most improved local rider in the year” towards the end of each year.
